About Us
My name is Stephanie, and I am blessed to be married to my wonderful husband Scott and raising our three beautiful children out in the country woods of Maine.
In March of 2010, our lives changed forever. It was on that day we were told that my husband has a terminal illness called ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. Since that day, we have been learning to cope with this diagnosis, live our lives to the fullest, and thank God for every moment we have together.
We were two young and silly kids when we were married in October of 1995, idealistic and hopeful of the life that lay before us. Little did we know the many things we would endure in our lifetime together, but we have always made it through stronger and better people. I believe that we will do the same this time as well
I hope that sharing our journey will inspire and encourage you. I hope it will show you just how short and precious life really is. But my greatest hope is to share with you the only One who isn’t too big for a disease like ALS. The only One who can change the words “there is no cure” and “there is no hope” into “I am your cure”, and “I am your hope”. The only One who can carry us through a disease this ugly and turn it into something beautiful.
As you learn our names and our story, I hope you will learn about His name and His story too. It is truly the greatest story every told.
